My Extraordinary Father

 To My Extraordinary Father,

As I sit here, reflecting on your remarkable life, I am overwhelmed by an immense sense of love, admiration, and gratitude. You were not just a father to me, but a true hero, a source of unwavering strength, and the epitome of a great human being. You were a rare and exceptional soul, unlike anyone I have ever known.

Your life was a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and unconditional love. As the eldest son in Pakistan, the weight of responsibility fell upon your shoulders. You selflessly embraced the duty of caring for your parents and younger siblings, shouldering their dreams and aspirations as your own. Leaving your beloved wife behind, you embarked on a journey in the merchant navy, spending months away from home without the luxury of modern communication. All this, so you could provide for your family and ensure their well-being.

Your dedication to your family continued even after leaving the navy. In job, you were known for your discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment. For almost two decades, we lived in Islamabad, and during that time, you took care of every aspect of our lives. Your siblings were settled, yet you remained the pillar of support for everyone. You were not only the best son but also the best brother one could ask for.

As a father to six children, five daughters, and one son, you were an angel in our lives. Despite limited income, you ensured we received the best education, and you meticulously saved money to secure our future. When we fell ill, it was you who stayed awake all night, worrying and caring for our well-being. After long days at work, you dedicated your evenings to teaching us, instilling in us knowledge, discipline, and values. You sacrificed your own social life and friendships to be there for us, giving us undivided attention and love. We are truly the luckiest children on this planet to have had you as our father.

You were not just a provider; you were our moral compass, teaching us good manners, compassion, and the true essence of humanity. People often say that behind every strong woman, there is a good father, and I wholeheartedly agree. Your influence shaped us into strong, confident individuals with unwavering character. I have never seen a hint of regret on your face for having five daughters. Instead, you showered us with love and nurtured our dreams.

Upon your early retirement, you chose to return to your village to care for your aging parents and manage their affairs. You were an angel by their side, fulfilling your duty with utmost devotion and love. Even now, at the age of 80, you continue to take care of everything, just as you did in your twenties. You extended your compassion to your poor uncles, providing comfort and support during their final moments when no one else took responsibility. Your selfless acts of kindness and devotion have touched the lives of many, and the prayers of those who have witnessed your goodness have traveled with us throughout our lives.

Your presence in our lives is a true blessing, and I am immensely proud to call you my father. May God bless you with good health and shower you with immense love. May He protect you from any harm and grant each of us the strength and ability to reciprocate the love and sacrifices you have made throughout your life.

From the depths of my heart, I thank you, my beloved father, for being an extraordinary figure of love, selflessness, and dignity. Your legacy as a provider, a guardian, and a true blessing will forever be cherished in our hearts.

With boundless love and gratitude,

Your Daughter

Nadia Nizam
