Gratefulness ShukarAlHamdollilah
My daughter often asks me how I manage to rise above the hypocrites around me who have tried hard to break me. What has helped me throughout my life is the strength of my faith and my friendship with God. It feels as though He is always by my side, holding my hand. I know that He will be there for me at every step of my journey. As Allah reminds us in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286), "لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا" (Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear). This gives me confidence that whatever happens is part of His will; He has reasons for everything in our lives. Thus, it’s important to remain calm and grateful in every situation.
Believe me, I see challenges whenever people around me discourage me. When someone tries to block my path, I make sure to follow my heart. As we learn from Surah Al-Imran (3:139), "فَلَا تَهِنُوا وَتَدْعُوا إِلَى السَّلُكِ" (So do not lose hope, nor be sad). This verse encourages perseverance despite setbacks. But take it as your exam by God and say ShukarAlHamdollilah....
Don’t let your blood relations and friends dictate your future or take advantage of your family ties. Remember that siblings and close friends who grow up with you can sometimes unconsciously compete with you and may feel resentment when you move ahead. Jealousy can lurk beneath the surface, as mentioned in Surah Al-Falaq (113:5), where we seek refuge "مِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ" (from the evil of the envier when he envies). Always stay calm and perceptive enough to recognize this, and don’t allow them to use or deceive you, as it can hurt deeply. If one day you see their true nature, consider it a sign from God protecting you from negative influences. So say Shukar Alhumdulilah......
We are reminded in Surah An-Nas (114:1-4) to seek refuge in the Lord of mankind from the whispers of the evil one: "قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ، مَلِكِ النَّاسِ، إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ" (Say, "I seek refuge with [Allah], the Lord of mankind"). This is how Allah shows His love for you. Ultimately, it’s up to you to choose the right path and to pray for protection from hidden enemies disguised as friends or family.
