I find great annoyance in a type of apology that you offer only to lighten your own conscience. You seek to appease your guilt, yet you do not come forward to make amends despite being aware of the harm you’ve caused. There are many people around us who walk over others' hearts without a second thought. Even after devastating someone’s heart and soul, they continue their lives unaware of the damage they have inflicted. After a long time, when their own spirit begins to feel heavy, they return with just two words: "I’m sorry."  Is that enough? Is it so easy to receive forgiveness for hurting someone, causing them pain, breaking their heart, or devastating their spirit? Does time, emotions, and the loss of feelings get resolved that easily?
